Admissions & Scholarships at The Rutledge Institute
The Rutledge Institute offers forty (40) full scholarships to families in our community, funded through the generosity of Tom and Karen Rutledge. We also accept subsidized care and welcome full-paying families into our diverse learning environment. The program is located on the PennWest California campus and operates Monday through Friday, twelve (12) months per year.
Students of the Rutledge Institute are required to attend at least five (5) hours per day, five (5) days per week, be present for 9 am circle time, and be toilet-trained. In addition, parents/guardians are required to attend two (2) free workshops each quarter or participate in four (4) hours of pre-approved volunteer activity. While the program will operate year-round, families may elect to take a leave of absence from June 1 through Labor Day.
Undergraduate Rutledge Institute scholars spend time in the classrooms learning and assisting teachers.
