It takes a Village to raise a child.

The mission of the Village of FPC is to provide quality child care and preschool while supporting single parents diligently furthering their education to provide a better life for their children. We are located in California, Pennsylvania.

Our organization is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation formed in 2006.

What We Offer

Admissions & Tuition

Before and after school care – $12 per hour

10% second-child discount

No make-up days

Scholarships

Scholarships may be available for single parents enrolled in school full-time. To be eligible, the student must:

Maintain a 2.5 minimum grade point average.

Volunteer four hours per week at The Village.

Attend two parenting classes per month offered at our site.

Help with fundraisers is also requested.

We offer support and encouragement to both parent and child. The Village is a hand up to a better life for those willing to help themselves. For more information, please contact Cherie Sears.

“When I was looking for a “daycare” for my daughter a little less than a year ago… I was torn between 2. I looked down to see a notification from The Village. “Oh, no,” I thought. “What did I forget for him?” With my stomach in my throat, I opened the Brightwheel childcare app, and there was a photo of Owen, laying back with a slight grin on his face, with the caption, “Have a great first day mama!” My heart melted, and then I was back to tearing up. Once classes were over with for the day, I practically ran to my car, drove to The Village, waited to be let in, and once verified that I am a parent of a child, I excitedly rushed to the infant room. “Mommy’s back!” He was handed over to me, and I got a report on how he did, and then was asked about how my first day back was going.”
